Back to Automatia

A world to find your place in.

Automatia is a story-driven voxel sandbox, made by Alf-André Walla. It is still taking shape.

The world we’re building

A voxel world is a world made from blocks. Automatia brings that idea together with a story: arriving somewhere unfamiliar, meeting its people, and finding things worth doing there.

The game’s direction includes growing crops, crafting, improving your surroundings, and exploring beyond your starting place. Those are development themes, rather than a promise that every activity is available to a new player in today’s build.

The August introduction begins aboard a train and ends with a view of the farmstead. It offers a short, real look at the game in development.

In development

You can open the current browser build now. Expect rough edges and changes. This site does not announce a release date, pricing, or a guarantee of permanent saves.

Future plans include more journeys by charter train. The All aboard development post describes those plans separately from the opening train ride already shown in the introduction.

The person behind the game

Automatia is developed by Alf-André Walla, also known as gonzo. His website and blog cover Automatia and the technology behind it.

This website collects the introduction, a short getting-started guide, and links to development updates. It will grow as there is more tested, useful information to share.

About this website

You can read the site without JavaScript. The introduction connects to YouTube only when you choose to watch it. Playing opens the game at a separate address. This website has no analytics or account forms.
